Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler made an appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show earlier this week. During the interview, the 54-year-old actress, along with her Murder Mystery 2 co-star Sandler, discussed a variety of topics. Aniston mentioned that she isn’t a fan of having to wear short hair for a role. The conversation arose when they talked about the possibility of a redo of the Seventies TV show Three’s Company, where Aniston and Sandler would play the female leads originally portrayed by Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt, with the late John Ritter starring as Jack.
Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler made an appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show recently. During their chat, the topic of discussion turned to Jennifer’s refusal to chop off her locks for a movie role.
Not interested in that: Aniston, who currently sports long blonde hair, is shown with a bob haircut in a photo from 2001. Aniston expressed her reluctance to take on the role of Janet, played by DeWitt, because Janet had short hair, and Aniston didn’t want to cut her own hair for the role. During a conversation with Drew, Aniston asked if Drew would be willing to have short hair for the role. Drew replied that she was okay with it, saying, “I love Janet. She’s a real no-nonsense gal…I’m much more like Janet, and you’re more like Chrissy.” Chrissy, played by Suzanne Somers, had long blonde hair and was known for promoting exercise tools. Aniston had previously sported short hair when she was on Friends and married to Brad Pitt in 2001. Reflecting on her decision to cut her hair, Aniston shared with ElleUK.com, “I actually just cut all my hair off two days ago.”
She wasn’t a fan of it: McMillan, who is also the one responsible for giving her The Rachel haircut, has not always hit the mark with Jennifer Aniston’s hairstyles. Aniston expressed her dislike for The Rachel, stating that it was not her most flattering look. “I think it was the worst haircut I’ve ever had,” she shared with Allure magazine. The haircut was not done for a specific role but rather, Aniston’s hair had an adverse reaction to a Brazilian treatment she tried. Her hairstylist, Chris McMillan, ended up chopping off her hair into a short, choppy bob that now sits at her jawline and is a bit shorter in the back. Despite not being happy with The Rachel, Aniston explained that McMillan is the same hairstylist who gave her that iconic haircut.
A talented trio: Aniston, Barrymore, and Sandler, coming together for a new project.
A revamp is necessary: In the image, Joyce DeWitt, John Ritter, and Suzanne Somers are seen together on the classic TV show Three’s Company. The sitcom is set in the sunny beach town of Santa Monica, California and was a popular favorite from 1976 to 1984. Somers exited the series after four seasons due to a salary dispute – she wanted to be paid the same as Ritter who was earning $150,000 per episode compared to her $30,000. Despite her early departure, Suzanne remains closely linked to the show’s success. Recently, Drew discussed the possibility of redoing Three’s Company on her talk show, hinting at the idea of a trio movie based on the TV series. The guests expressed enthusiasm about the concept, with Adam calling it “fun” and “incredible.”
During a chat on the show, Drew hinted at the idea of a trio movie based on a TV show. Jennifer quickly suggested “Three’s Company,” envisioning a storyline that includes a visit to the iconic Regal Beagle bar. Adam jumped in, proposing a role for himself as Larry Dallas, the lovable womanizer character from the original series. Jennifer then humorously mentioned finding actors to portray the quirky landlords, the Ropers. She playfully asked Adam if he would take on the role of Mr. Roper, to which he jokingly responded, “I’m no Jack Tripper, I’d have to be Jimmy Tripper.”
“Drew exclaimed, ‘Score! Now we just need to figure out who’s going to play Chrissy and who’s going to play Janet, because I’m definitely playing one of them.’ Here is a photo of Suzanne as Chrissy, Joyce as Janet, and John as Jack.”
Still rocking it! Somers was spotted at the Clive Davis 90th Birthday Celebration at Casa Cipriani in New York City in April 2022, looking fabulous as always.
Exciting update: The Ropers are back in action alongside playboy Larry in a nostalgic still from 1978. Jennifer shared, “We’re not planning an exact reboot, but something inspired by it.” Adam immediately showed his support, saying, “I absolutely love that idea,” while Drew suggested, “Let’s brainstorm and work on it.”
During their chat, the Emmy-winning actress discussed another frequent collaborator of Adam’s: Drew Barrymore. Aniston also addressed potential friendly competition with Barrymore during her appearance on GMA this week.
Aniston has starred in three movies with Sandler (Just Go With It, Murder Mystery, and Murder Mystery 2), and Barrymore has also appeared in three (The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended).
“We really want to do a movie together with all three of us and put an end to any competition,” Aniston shared with host Michael Strahan. Sandler chimed in, “There’s no competition, just two amazing ladies. It would be incredible to work on a film together.”
Both friends of Sandler: While chatting, the Emmy award winner mentioned Adam’s close collaborator, Barrymore. They were spotted together on March 19th in Washington DC.
Follow-up to the highly successful film: Murder Mystery 2 is now available to stream on Netflix.
